Former Sunderland striker Asamoah Gyan has scored his first goal on his debut for his New Club NorthEast United in their 1-1 friendly with the Indian National Team on Wednesday.
The Black Stars General Captain scored on the stroke of the half time to restore parity for his side after going down on the 34th minute.
Asamoah Gyan who was handed a start on his debut was withdrawn in 68th minute.
Veteran striker and Skipper of the Indian National Team Sunnel Chhetri gave India the lead on the 34th minutes.
Asamoah Gyan netted the equalizer on the 44th minute to make sure the first half ended 1-1.
The game ended 1-1 after both sides failed to register a goal in the second half.
NorthEast United are preparing for the start of the Indian National League whilst the Indian National Team are also preparing for the upcoming World Cup qualifier game against Bangladesh on October 15.
