Ahead of the second leg 2020 Olympic qualifier encounter with Kenya, Black Queens head coach Mercy Tagoe has insisted the motive of her side is to beat Kenya and qualify to the final round of the qualifier.
Ghana were held to a disappointing goalless draw with Kenya at home last weekend and will be looking to secure a postive results on Tuesday when they face the Kenyans at the Kasarani Stadiums.
Speaking to the media before the game, Mercy Tagoe maintained their target is to qualify to the next round, she also spoke about Portia Boakye insting her captain is good to go.
“Training went on well, the Kenyans had a mentality that propelled them to secure a drawn game in Accra in like manner we can equally do even better by winning.
“We want to win and I have psych the ladies too, luck didn’t smile at us in the first leg, but we are hoping to have things done right.
She continued “Portia Boakye is in top form , she’s not stressed like the first leg, she relates very well with the ladies and as the captain, it has boost the morale in camp.
“Our motive is to qualify for the first time in the history of Ghana to the Olympic games.
“I wouldn’t like to promise because the future is unknown, but we are taking it match after match” She added.
