Black Queens chances of qualifying to TOKYO 2020 Olympics hangs in the balance after failing to beat Kenya at home in the first leg of the qualifiers.
The Queens were expected to beat the Harrambee Stars comfortably at home in order to make the return leg a mere formality, but lack of composure infront of goal saw them drew blank throughout the 90 minutes.
With a lot of key players missing out due to club engagement, Head coach Mercy Tagoe Quarcoo presented an entirely new squad, hoping to inject a sense of urgency among the squad, but striker Milliot Pokuaa and Priscilla Okyere who were given the nod upfront missed numerous chances.
The visitors also defended well and made sure they leave Ghana unscathed.
The second leg has been scheduled on Tuesday October 8, 2019 at Moi International Sports Centre, Kasarani.
Ghana will need a win or scoring draw to qualify to the next round of the qualification.
