GFA Presidential hopeful Amanda Clinton has responded to reports that she lied about being endorsed by Hearts of Oak for the upcoming elections.
Dr. Nyaho Tamakloe, who is a board member of the club, released a statement on Saturday indicating that no individual from their outfit has proposed her for next month’s elections.
However, Ms. Clinton has advised the public to disregard the statement by Tamakloe, tagging it as ‘Fake News’.
The astute lawyer in an explosive interview on OTEC FM, said she believes the negative reportage is an attempt by her opponents to sabotage her.
“Was it a statement from Hearts of Oak or the CEO of the club. I don’t know where that statement is coming from, let’s disregard it.” She said.
“Has the release or statement been verified and signed by either Hearts of Oak administrator or their CEO. Since the statement was unsigned, I will treat it as fake.
“I’m a Lawyer. I can’t lie to the public because of my integrity. It’s just that my competitors want to distract me but it won’t work”
Madam Clinton, who is the only female aspirant filed her nomination forms at the GFA secretariat on Friday.
She will face stiff competition from other astute candidates like Kurt Okraku, George Afriyie, Wilfred Osei Palmer, Nana Yaw Ampomah, Fred Pappoe, and George Ankamah for the vacant position.
The GFA presidential election is slated for October 25.
