In a massive show of camaraderie, would-be GFA President Kurt Okraku has extended invitations to all presidential aspirants to the unveiling of his manifesto on Tuesday.
Eight aspirants, Okraku inclusive, have put their foot forward to contest for the vacant position of the GFA President and are expected to flood the Auditorium of the Ghana Exim Bank in Accra for the manifesto unveiling.
The event which will start at 10:00am prompt will see all the seven other aspirants who have been officially invited for the event to witness the unveiling of the plans Kurt has for Ghana football if elected.
The invitation of the other aspirants by Kurt Okraku is a pictorial demonstration of team work which could be extended if he assumes the mantle of leadership of the Ghana Football Association.
“I’m ready to work with other aspirants in my tenure if I’m elected the next GFA President,” Kurt is quoted to have disclosed after the Extraordinary Congress of the Ghana FA earlier this month.
President of Tema Youth and former Executive Committee member of the FA Osei Kwaku Winfred ‘Palmer’, former Vice Presidents of the Ghana FA George Afriyie and Fred Pappoe are amongst the aspirants.
The others are Nana Yaw Amponsah, President of Phar Rangers FC, practicing lawyer Amanda Clinton and George Ankamah Mensah owner of Accra-based Division Three side O.K. FC have also joined the race.
The gesture by the charismatic Executive Chairman of Dreams FC is expected to ignite the spirit of togetherness, mutual trust and friendship among the football family ahead of the election of a president for the association.
The gesture will certainly be applauded by the football family and the Ghanaian public as the spirit of unity is a key component in the forward-march movement of the ‘new’ GFA.
In a similar sphere, all the 120 delegates including the 16 Premier League clubs, the 48 Division One clubs, the Regional Football Association Chairmen and all Constituent Bodies have been invited.
