Hearts of Oak have unequivocally denied Amanda Clinton’s claim that the club has endorsed her for the upcoming GFA Presidential elections.
Dr. Nyaho Tamakloe, who is a board member of the club has released a statement indicating that no individual from their outfit has proposed her for next month’s elections.
“The attention of the Board of Directors of Accra Hearts of Oak has been drawn to a media report suggesting that the club has proposed Amanda Clinton to contest for the position of the GFA President” the statement reads.
“On behalf on the Board, I wish to state that, no such decision has been taken by the club and therefore these reports must be treated with contempt deserves”
Madam Clinton, who is the only female aspirant filed her nomination forms at the GFA secretariat on Friday afternoon.
However, in light of this latest development, the astute lawyer could see herself disqualified from the race to take the vacant hot seat.
Vetting for the qualified candidates is scheduled for September 26 to October 1 with the elections slated for October 25, 2019 in Accra.
