Ghanaian coach CK Akonnor has missed out on the coaching job of the Guinea national team after he was shortlisted for the post.
Akonnor lost the race to French coach Didier Six.
The former Asante Kotoko SC manager was part of 17 applicants shortlisted as a replacement for the departed Paul Put but failed to land the top managerial job.
French Manager, Didier Six, has been offered the top job on a two year deal with qualifications to the 2021 AFCON atop of the list.
Six previously managed Togo and Mauritius and comes with rich experience heading into his new job with the Syli Nationals of Guinea.
The 65-year-old Frenchman, who is expected to sign a three year deal, will take charge of the Syli Nationale’s bid to qualify for the 2021 Africa Cup of Nations and the 2022 World Cup.
