FIFA representative Luca Nicole says Elective Congress will be put on hold if the new statutes submitted by the Normalisation Committee of the Ghana Football Association are not approved.
Mr. Luca made the declaration during the Extraordinary Congress which is currently ongoing at the College of Physicians and Surgeons in Ridge, Accra.
Among other things, top on the agenda is a review and adoption of new GFA statutes as well as regulations on elections in relation to an imminent football association presidential election.
“If the statutes are approved today, it will pave way for elective Congress,” Luca Nicoli said.
“However, if the reviewed GFA statutes are not approved today, the Elective Congress of the GFA will be put on hold,” he added.
