Ghanaian winger Joseph Paintsil was on target for Genk in their 4-0 mauling of Waasland Beeveren in the Belgium Jupiler League on Saturday evening.
The visitors were on fire as Paintsil opened the scoring on the 21st minute to set the tone for what turned a sad day for the home fans.
Tanzanian striker Mbwana Ally Samantha grabbed a hat trick to seal the win for the visitors.
Paintsil who was on fire did not only score but provided an assist for Samantha’s second goal to cap a brilliant night.
The goal is Paintsil’s first in the 4-week old Belgian league.
Fellow Ghanaian counterpart Thomas Agyepong who is on loan at Waasland Beeveren was introduced into the game for the entire duration of the second half but could not salvage the home side.
Paintsil is expected to join the Ghana U23 side in the coming week for the U23 AFCON Qualifier with Algeria later this month.
