Youngster Kwame Otoo was on fire, hitting a hat trick for Dreams FC as they saw off a Koforidua select side by 5-0 in a preseason friendly at the Theatre of Dreams on Friday.

The youngster who gained promotion from the feeder club of Dreams FC – Still Believe FC – staged a stupendous outing despite coming on from the bench.

The Koforidua select side showed a lot of promise from the start of the game until Moses Twum truncated their hopes with the opener.

Moses Twum broke the virginity of the game on the 23rd minute with a perfect volley over the Koforidua XI goalie.

The goalkeeper was left at Moses’ mercy when he was beautifully connected by Stephen Offei to break the virginity of the game.

Dantani Amadu was gifted with the first chance of the game but his drive traversed above the crossbar leaving the team in disappointment.

Stephen Offei wasted no time in kissing the net with a sumptuous tap-in to increase the tally when he was neatly put through by Fiifi Krampah.

Dantani was put through by Moses Offei to increase the tally but his curler missed the post by inches when he could have opted for a low drive.

Kwame Otoo came on from the bench to increase the tally with a nice volley on the stroke of half time to take the tally to 3-0.

In a total show of dominance, Dreams FC kept bossing the ball to force their opponents to chase their shadows as Cletus Nombil came close to increasing the tally but his thunderous drive traveled over the bar.

Kwame Otoo grabbed his second and Dreams FC’s 4th after swiveling round his marker to put the ball behind the net.

Cletus came closer to finding the back of the net again but once again his drive went over the bar.

The defenders of Koforidua XI were still panting for breath when Kwame Otoo had the chance to grab a hat trick but his shot was feeble.

But the young striker did not relent in his efforts to score again as he connected brilliantly to a low cross from Owusu to grab his hat trick and take the tally to 5-0 for Dreams FC.

The Dawu-based side has been preparing in earnest in the preseason ahead of the new season with low profile games.
