AshantiGold will face Desire Academy in a preparatory game on Saturday ahead of their CAF Confederation Cup second leg tie.
The Obuasi-based club will look to boost their sharpness level against the lower-division side as they anticipate the all-important clash with Akonangui FC.
Ashgold and Akonangui are set to lock horns in an epic return leg fixture after drawing 1-1 in Equatorial Guinea last Saturday.
The match is scheduled for the Len Clay Stadium in Obuasi on Saturday, 24th August 2019.
The Miners just need to avoid defeat or maintain a goalless scoreline at the end of 90 minutes in order to boot out their opponent.
