GHALCA Chairman Kudjoe Fianoo has revealed that nothing has changed in hia decision to contest for the GFA presidency position, insisting he will contest.
Reports emerging in the Ghanaian media had hinted that the former AshGold CEO who is believed to be a card bearer of the ruling NPP party had been asked to step aside for Nana Yaw Amponsah, another party man to take the seat.
But Fianoo says he’s not given up on becoming the next Football Association Chairman.
Speaking to Kumasi FM on Thursday he said, “Nothing has changed in my decision to contest for the GFA presidency position.”
“The roadmap has been given and I can only be questioned if I do not pick my forms to contest. I’m working underground,” he revealed.
“Reports that some government officials have intervened not for me to contest are just football politics.
“At my age, this is impossible. I know where they are coming from but I want to tell them I’m an old fox in the business.
“I will advise them to invest their energies in doing other things because this won’t work,” he concluded.
Kudjoe Fianoo, just like Osei Kwaku ‘Parmer’, George Afriyie and Fred Pappoe have declared their intentions of contesting for the vacant post.
