CAF CHAMPIONS LEAGUE
Former Dreams FC defender Godfred Asante was on target for Horoya AC when they drew 1-1 with Stade Malien in the first leg of the CAF Champions League preliminary round on Saturday.
Attacker Michael Sarpong scored to help his outfit Rayon Sports secure a 1-1 stalemate with Sudanese side Al Hilal Club in Rwanda.
Justice Blay and Godfred Asiamah were on target for Asante Kotoko in their 3-2 defeat to Kano Pillars at the Saani Abacha Sports Stadium.
Elsewhere in Angola former Accra Hearts of Oak winger Isaac Mensah was on target as Petro Atletico snatch a 2-0 win over Matlama FC from Lesotho.
His compatriot Inusah Musah was unused substitute.
CAF CONFEDERATION CUP
In the CAF Confederation Cup, Ghana forward John Antwi registered a brace for FC Pyramids as they thrashed Congolese side Etoile du Congo 4-1 in the preliminary round of the CAF Confederation Cup on Saturday.
Razak Abalora failed to keep a clean sheet as Azam FC suffered a 1-0 away defeat to Fasil Kenema from Ethiopia Sunday.
It was a heartbreaking story for defender Eric Atsigah as his side Master Security FC were hammered 3-0 by Proline FC at Uganda.
Maranatha de Fiokpo from Togo recorded a 3-0 over LISCR FC.
Goals from Anthony Asamoah, and his teammates Gafarou Yacoubou, Kossiganb Salifou grabbed the maximum points for their outfit.
