Asante Kotoko new boy Justice Blay is in cloud nine following his maiden goal for the club in the CAF Champions League.
Blay restored parity for the Porcupine Warriors after they went down by a goal and despite the home side fighting late to win the game, Blay is ecstatic for his goal.
Speaking to reporters after the clubs arrival from Nigeria to Ghana, he said,
“I’m happy to have scored for Kotoko in my debut Champions League game.
“It will be a memorable one for me as a player,” he said.
He however noted that the two goals scored in Nigeria will help the Porcupine Warriors qualify in the return encounter.
“We scored twice in Nigeria which is a plus for us going to the return leg in Kumasi. I believe we can eliminate them [Kano Pillars] in Kumasi.
“We are very determined to secure next round qualification even though Kano Pillars will also come to the return leg with the same ambition.
“With the two preseason friendlies in Kumasi, I have realised that as players what we can do for the supporters to be happy is to win and we will start with Kano Pillars in the return leg.
“We will only plead with the supporters to come to the stadium in their numbers during the return leg and I know we will beat Kano Pillars in Kumasi”, Blay added.
The return will be cleared on August 27 at the Baba Yara Sports Stadium in Kumasi.
