Communication Director for Kumasi Asante Kotoko Kennedy Boakye Ansah has called on the fans of the club to forget about Songne Yacouba and concentrate on the available squad ahead of their CAF Champions League game against Kano Pillars.
With almost a week to their CAF Champions League game against Kano Pillars, the absence of the Burkinabe attacker has been the subject of discussion among the fans.
The club were expecting the player to arrive in the Ghana last Friday and join his teammates to prepare for the game, but the player is still not in the Country.
Speaking to Zuria FM Sports on Saturday, Kennedy Boakye Ansah urged the fans to forget about Yacouba and concentrate on the available squad.
“We have a big game ahead of us, Yacouba is not the only player in the team. We have to concentrate on the players available”
” We have registered a lot of players, so with Yacouba and or without Yacouba the team is still there. He is our player we have registered him but he is currently not available. So we should focus on those available ”
When asked when Yacouba will arrive in Ghana, Kennedy answered
“We were expecting him last Friday, but some one and two issues didn’t allow him to come. He still in Burkina Faso as at now. Right now our focus is on the next week game”
The player is all but ruled out of the first leg encounter against Kano Pillars.
