AshantiGold SC defeated lower-division side Still Hope FC 2-0 in a friendly at the Ofori Stadium on Saturday.
The warm up game forms part of the team’s preparation ahead of their CAF Confederation Cup campaign.
A goal in either half from Emmanuel Osei Baffour and Amos Addai ensured a comfortable victory for the Ghana Premier League side.
The Miners will travel to Equatorial Guinea for the first leg of their preliminary stage clash against Akonangui FC on August 10.
The reverse fixture will be played two weeks later in Obuasi.
Ashgold grabbed the sole ticket to represent Ghana at this year’s Confederations Cup after winning the GFA Normalization Committee Tier II Special Cup.
