Douglas Owusu Ansah has no doubts over his ability to see off fierce competition and earn a place in Kotoko’s star-studded starting XI.
With the likes of Justice Blay and Alexis Didi Arnold joining the club to add up to Habib Mohammed and Prince Acquah, there is uncertainty over the playing opportunities Douglas Owusu Ansah stands to get, but the youngster says he is unperturbed.
“My presence in the team is not under threat because of the midfielders we have in the team,” maintains the young midfielder.
“They all have their qualities and I learn from them all the time. But I also have mine. I believe in myself and what I can do when given the chance. It is going to be a long season and everybody, including myself, will get his chance.”
The Porcupine Warriors will begin their CAF CL campaign against Nigerian top-flight side Kano Pillars on August 10.
The winner of the two-legged match will progress to the final round to play either Hafia FC of Guinea or Tunisian club, Etoile du Sahel.
