Asante Kotoko defender Abdul Ganiu has been ruled out of their forthcoming CAF Champions league campaign, FootballMadeInGhana.com can reveal.

The young energetic stalwarts picked up a knee injury during his outfits training session at the Adako Jachie training complex last week.

According to reports  the former Wa All Stars defender will leave the shores of Ghana in the coming days to undergo a surgery.

The Porcupine Warriors  will set off  their CAF Champions League campaign with Nigerian side Kano Pillars on August 10th.

Ganiu has been in Kotoko set up that won the  GFA Normalization Committee Special Competition  tier-1 after thrashing Karela United in the finals.
