Ashantigold have included Shafiu Mumuni and Appiah McCarthy in their final 27 man squad for the CAF Confederation Cup despite the uncertainty on the future of the two players.
The two players two weeks ago left the shores of Ghana with the hope of securing themselves a contract outside the country.
Midfielder Appiah McCarthy travelled to Switzerland and held a trial with Chiasso FC but has since returned home and has joined his teammates in preparation.
Shafiu Mumuni on the other hand is still in South Africa undergoing trials with Supersports United but his name is also been included in the squad for the CAF Confederation Cup.
New players such as Emmanuel Osei Baffour, Benjamin Eshun, Kwadwo Amoako and Atta Kusi have all been included in the squad.
Ashantigold have been drawn against Guinean Club Akonangui FC in the Preliminary stages of the CAF Confederation Cup. The Aboakese boys will travel to Guinea on August 11 for the first leg before hosting their Guinean counterpart in a week time.
