The Confederation of African Football (Caf) has awarded Egypt, the hosting rights of the 2019 African Footballer of the Year gala night.
The Citadel Hotel in Cairo will be the venue where the most promising talent, Coach and best Women player of the Year from Africa would be recognised among other awards.
Egypt star Mohamed Salah is the reigning African Footballer of the Year and is in the race to retain it, but his Liverpool teammate Sadio Mane is the bookmakers favorite to win the prestigious prize.
Last year’s award gala took place in Senegal but the next will be returning to Egypt which is equally the host of the of the 2019 Under 23 AFCON.
