Veteran football administrator Mr Kofi Manu “Blue Boy” has stated he knew the Black stars won’t go far in the 2019 Africa Cup of Nations due to lack of proper preparation.
According to him, he wasn’t surprised on the team’s early exit in the competition as he had already envisaged that.
Black Stars were eliminated by Tunisia at the round 16 stage of the competition after losing 5-4 in penalty shootout.
Speaking to Ashh FM on Saturday, the former Operations Manager for Berekum Chelsea revealed he raised an alarm two months prior to the tournament but those in authority didn’t heed his to advice.
“I already knew Ghana won’t be going far in this year’s AFCON because everything surrounding the preparation towards the tournament was wrong.”
“I said it about two months ago that, Ghana won’t go anywhere that’s why throughout the tournament I haven’t grant any interviews.
“When people talk in this country, some will say you like talking, now that things has gone wrong”.
Black stars have gone 37 years without winning the African Cup of Nations.
