Deputy Black Stars skipper Kwadwo Asamoah says he was played out of position in Saturday’s goalless draw with Cameroon.
The Inter Milan star failed to live up to expectation after a public outcry for him to be included in the starting line up.
Asamoah struggled to assert himself in the clash against the Indomitable Lions and looked visibly frustrated when he was substituted in the 78th minute.
Speaking to reporters after the game, the 30 year old admitted he didn’t enjoy playing in an unfamiliar left midfield role.
”It wasn’t the best game for me because I know what I can do when I play my normal position. I had difficulties in terms of possession but I did okay defensively.
“I was playing from left wing which I’m not so comfortable with but I’m so happy about the result because I tried to do my best for the team”
