Christian Atsu picked up an injury during Ghana’s goalless draw with Cameroon at the Ismailia Stadium on Saturday.
Kwesi Appiah was forced to make an early substitution after the Newcastle United winger went down with what looked liked an hamstring injury.
The 27-year old lasted only 15 minutes before he was replaced by Samuel Owusu.
Atsu will be assessed by the medical team to determine the extent of the injury.
Ghana next face Guinea-Bissau on July 2 in their final Group F match.
