Ghana’s Sports Minister Hon. Isaac Asiamah met Black Stars players at their training session on Wednesday, after their shocking draw with Benin, encouraging them to focus on the clash with Cameroon on Saturday.
In a short meeting at the Suez Canal Training Facility, Hon. Asiamah called on the players to throw behind them the game with Benin and shift attention towards Cameroon.
The Black Stars will come up against the Indomitable Lions of Cameroon on Saturday in their second group clash in a make or break encounter as Ghana look to breath hope in their chances again.
Speaking to the player Hon. Asiamah noted that drawing a game isn’t a bad score line despite the huge optimism before the game which backfired.
“We are all unhappy that we did not win the game but don’t be discouraged with the 2-2 score line.
“Let’s put that behind us and shift our focus onto the game against Cameroon,” he said.
The Sports Minister together with President Nana Akufo-Addo watched the Black Stars opening game against Benin at the Ismailia Stadium on Tuesday.
