Abdul Majeed Waris has wished the Black Stars well following his omission from Ghana’s final 23-man squad for 2019 AFCON.
Despite his successful loan spell with FC Nantes last season, where he scored seven goals in all competition;
Waris was overlooked by coach Kwesi Appiah in favor of Jordan Ayew (Crystal Palace, England), Caleb Ekuban (Trabzonspor, Turkey) and Kwabena Owusu (Leganes, Spain).
The list which was announced on Monday evening also saw Fatawu Safiu, Yaw Yeboah, Mohammed Alhassan and Ebenezer Ofori missing out.
Always proud to represent my country so not the outcome I was hoping for. I wish Ghana well in the AFCON. 🇬🇭❤
Time to get a well deserved holidays, refresh and go again for the preseason!
