Notorious Asante Kotoko supporter Seidu Mba has been arrested by the Ghana Police in Kumasi over the alleged kidnapping of two Canadian girls who went missing, according to reports in the local media.
The two girls, working with a local NGO, were kidnapped a week ago but have been rescued by a joint operation between the Ghana and Canada security forces on Wednesday, June 12, one week after they were kidnapped around the Royal Golf Club in Kumasi.
The police have further moved to apprehend the culprits and immediately flown them to Accra for further inquiries.
Seidu, one of the suspects arrested, is know for his notorious show of stubbornness at the Baba Yara Sports Stadiums during games involving Asante Kotoko.
Seidu who stopped former Kotoko trainer Dzravko Lugarosic from training and subsequently ensuring he was sacked had beaten up a journalist prior to his encounter with the coach.
He is also remembered for attempting to stop current coach CK Akonnor from coaching the team after the side’s 1-1 stalemate with AshGold in the JA Kuffour Cup.
