Charles Sapong underlined his place in Chicago Fire history last Saturday after scoring the club’s 1,000th goal in the Major League Soccer.
The Ghanaian striker got the historic goal in the pulsating 1-1 draw with New York City FC.
Fire become only the eighth franchise in MLS to reach the 1,000 goals milestone.
The 30-year-old joined the club in the off-season after spending three years with Philadelphia Union, scoring 38 goals in 123 appearances.
He has netted 4 goals for his new club in the ongoing MLS campaign.
