The nuclear family of the late coach E.K. Afranie have donated hospital equipments worth $4,000 to the Mankranso Government Hospital in the Ashanti Region of Ghana.
The items which were given to the hospital on Thursday were bought from funds they have gotten from Coach Afrane Foundation.
Coach Afranie passed away on November 9, 2016 and his wife and children set up a special foundation in his name to do charity works mainly in hospitals.
Earlier this year, they family also presented the same number of items to the Komfo Anokye Teaching Hospital in Kumasi.
One of the celebrated coaches in Ghanaian football history, Afranie is credited as the one who groomed the country’s golden generation of footballers which includes Michael Essien, Sulley Muntari, John Mensah, Derek Boateng, John Paintsil, and others who helped the four-time African champions to book their first World Cup ticket in 2006.
