AFCON-bound Mubarak Wakaso is enjoying his brief holidays in his hometown, Tamale.
The 25 year old arrived in Ghana on Sunday before flying to the Northern Region yesterday to spend some time with family and friends.
He played with friends on a ‘sakora park’ in his former neighborhood and took his time to motivate them with some words of advice after their short fun-filled football match.
Despite his fame and stardom, Wakaso has always been drawn to his roots, where it all began for him in his formative years.
The Deportivo Alaves midfielder will be back in Accra before Friday to join the rest of the Black Stars squad that will be hosted to a farewell dinner at the Jubilee house by President Nana Akufo-Addo.
The team will jet off to Dubai on June 1st, to begin preparations ahead of the 2019 Africa Cup of Nations in Egypt.
Wakaso is expected to play a key role for Ghana as they seek to end their 37-year wait for an African title.
