Is a make or break for the Porcupine Warriors when they travel to Dormaa to face Aduana Starts at the Nana Agyemang Badu Park on Sunday.
Games between these two sides have been intriguing since the promotion of Aduana Stars to the Premier league in 2009.
Their rivalry goes beyond football.
Aduana Stars have nothing to fight for, they have no chance of qualifying to the semi finals of the competition no matter the outcome of the game.
They only thing left for them is to prevent their unbeaten run at home in the competition.
They have won three and drawn three so far at home.
And most importantly their imperious home record against Asante Kotoko since their promotion to the Ghana Premier League will come into the picture.
They are unbeaten against the Porcupines Warriors at Dormaa and yet to concede a goal against them at the same venue.
Asante Kotoko go into the game knowing a draw will secure them a spot in the semi finals of the competition.
The Porcupines are currently leading the zone with twenty one points and need a draw to secure a qualification to the Semi finals.
A back to back victory against Eleven Wonders and Medeama SC has given Asante Kotoko a good advantage to qualify to the next stage.
The return of Songne Yacouba from injury has lifted the performance of the whole squad and it will be a perfect time to face Aduana Stars.
C K Akonnor will have to worry about his side’s away form going into this game, they have won only one on the road in the competition.
They have never recorded a win at the Nana Agyemang Badu Park and have drawn only two in as many as nine games at the Agyemang Badu Park.
Team News.
There is no injury concern with Aduana Stars and Wilson Tandoh will have a full squad to select from.
C K Akonnor has no injury worries apart from his long term absentees.
Yacouba is expected to start his first game since his return from injury.
