The advisory team and family member of Asamoah Gyan will be meeting on Wednesday to take a decision on President Akufo-Addo’s call to rescind his retirement decision.
President Akufo-Addo, on Tuesday, instructed the Ghana captain to rescind his decision of retiring from international football after coach Kwasi Appiah decided to strip him off his captains armband for another player.
Gyan in a strong-worded statement revealed how betrayed he felt by the action of the coach, adding that he can’t be in the team while another player skippers him.
The decision forced several top officials including the president of Ghana to hold meetings with Coach Kwasi Appiah and Asamoah Gyan on Tuesday.
Following the meeting, President Akufo-Addo ordered Gyan to stage a return from international football and be part of the Black Stars squad for the 2019 AFCON.
But the family of the indignant striker will meet his advisory team on Wednesday morning to take a decision.
Reports are, however, that, Gyan could rescind his decision and return to the Black Stars as a General Captain.
