Eleven Wonders held Aduana Stars to a goalless draw in the penultimate clash of the Normalization Committee Special Competition at Techiman on Sunday afternoon to bring a halt to the semifinal hopes of the visitors.
Eleven Wonders who have lost only one of their last five home games were hoping to bounce back from the painful defeat they suffered in the hands of the Porcupines Warriors.
Enos Adepa set up a very strong side as he looked to overcome the Ogya Boys.
It was all Eleven Wonders in before the half hour mark of the game as they tried everything to draw the first blood, but the visitors stood their ground and answered all the questions threw to them by the home side.
Aduana Stars finally settled in the latter stage before the first half ended but couldn’t cause any problems for the home side.
None of the sides was able to get the breakthrough in the second half, despite creating a lot of chances.
The game ended 0-0.
The results means Aduana Stars’ hope of qualifying to the semi finals is all but lost despite having a game to play against Kotoko on Wednesday.
