The Miners welcome the Hunters in the match day eleven of the Normalization Committee Special Competition.
Ashanti Gold have 100% record at home winning all the five games they have played at the Len Clay Stadium in the competition.
With two games left for the group stages of the competition, Ashanti Gold must win the rest of their games in order to to stand a chance of qualifying to the semi finals.
They are currently third on the league table with seventeen points, two less than the table toppers Medeama SC who face a stiff encounter against Asante Kotoko.
Ashanti Gold Coach Kjetil Zachariassen has downplayed the issue of special preparations ahead of Sunday’s game, the Swedish trainer insists they will be no special preparation for the game.
“Excerpts from Press Conference:
“There’ll be no special preparation for this game. We are working on our structure and system. We’ll do the same as we’ve done previously. Our simple philosophy is to replicate what we do at training in matches”
Bechem United will be hoping to make it three games on the road without a defeat in the competition.
An impressive 2-2 draw in Kumasi, and a great win against Berekum Chelsea at the Golden City Park has lifted the confidence of the Hunters.
With qualification seemingly impossible for the Hunters, they will be targeting to finish the competition on a high notes after a disappointing start.
This will be Bechem United’s last game in the competition, no matter what happens on Sunday they are likely to miss out in the semi finals.
