Belgian-born Ghanaian defender Denis Odoi has extended his contract with relegated English Premier League side Fulham.

Odoi’s current deal was set to expire on June 30, 2019 but he has now been offered an additional 12-month which will see him stay at Craven Cottage until the summer of 2020.

Despite Fulham’s poor season which saw them finishing in the EPL drop zone, the 30-year-old versatile defender was one of their best players as he raked in 31 league appearances providing one assist.

Born in Leuven to a Ghanaian father and a Belgian mother, Odoi is eligible to play for the Black Stars as his only senior appearance for Les Diables Rouges was in a friendly game in 2012.
