Tamale City FC have been awarded 3 points and 3 goals after winning a protest over Techiman City FC following the latter’s inability to show up for their clash in the day 9 of the NC Special Competition.
Techiman City FC, the home side failed to show up for their game at the Nkoranza Park despite Tamale City trekking to the venue for the game.
According to Techiman City, they had prepared for their rescheduled clash with Paga Crocodiles two days before the clash with Tamale City, arguing that football regulations do not permit a club to play in less than 72 hours.
But the Normalization Committee insists since Paga Crocodiles did not show up for the game,Techiman City should have honoured the clash with Tamale City two days later which the home side declined.
Tamale City have, therefore, been declared winners of the clash, awarding them 3 points and 3 goals, declaring Techiman City losers on the other hand.
Tamale City FC shall also be handed back their ₵5000 protest fee persuant to 7.3 of the NC Special Competition Special Regulations.
