Ghanaian defender Lalas Abubakar was welcomed at his new club Colorado Rapids with a defeat after his side was handed a 3-2 lashing by Real Salt Lake FC.

The towering defender was selected straight to the starting line up by Coach Conor Casey and made his debut for his new club Colorado Rapids as they suffered the home defeat.

Lalas abubakar started and saw the entire duration of the game at the Dick’s Sporting Goods Park in Colorado.

He was unlucky not to get his name on the score sheet after his 93rd header was cancelled by video review decision due to a narrow offside.

The Ghanaian joined the Colorado Rapids earlier this week from Columbus Crew SC where he appeared in 31 games, 27 from the start since 2017.
