Bechem United plugged down Medeama SC to register their second win in the NC Special Competition on Sunday at the Nana Fosu Gyaebour Park.
Charles Mensah early strike secured a difficult win for the Hunters – their first win since match day three against Berekum Chelsea.
After getting a draw in Kumasi against Asante Kotoko in midweek, Bechem United were oozing with confidence coming to the game against the league leaders.
Bechem United had a bright start to the game and went ahead in as early as the 6th minute of the game to register the winner.
Medeama responded after the goal and dominated the game with some lovely touches in middle of the park.
Emmanuel Boateng came close to levelling matters for the Mauve and Yellow boys but his shot was saved by the Afadzwu
Bechem United held on till the end of the first half.
The second half was a one sided game, as Medeama pushed for the equalizer, but the home side was equally up to the task.
Despite creating so many chances in the second half, Medeama SC couldn’t break the resolute defense of the hunters.
The game ended 1-0 in favour of the Bechem United.
