Ghana international Andy Yiadom pulled 22.5 per cent of the total votes cast to place second in the Reading Player of the season awards.
Yiadom lost to Andy Rinhomota by just 4.8 per cent of the votes as English-born Zimbabwean attacker won with 27.3 per cent with Yakou Meite having 17.6 per cent to finish third.
The Ghanaian defender who joined the Royals from Barnsley on a free transfer last summer has been instrumental throughout the season playing 45 Championship games scoring one goal and providing four assists as they escaped relegation.
The 27-year-old right-back has emerged as a summer transfer target of Leeds United and Wolves.
