Ghanaian defender Yakubu Mohammed has extended his contract with Tanzanian giants Azam FC.
The towering centre-back signed a new two-year contract with the Dar es Salaam-based club which will see him staying at the Chamazi Stadium up to June 30, 2021
Yakubu joined Azam in 2016 from Aduana Stars and has risen to become their first choice guardsman.
The enterprising defender says he feels elated with his new contract and will continue to offer his best.
“For the fans, every day we work hard to please them and I believe this year we will give them great pleasure by winning the FA Cup and getting African competition qualification.” He stated after signing the deal
“I am happy with my contract extension and winning the FA Cup is my priority. Insha Allah we promise them this cup, all is they have to come to the final to witness and give us a support .” He added.
