Caleb Ekuban is close to sealing an £860,000 permanent move to Trabzonspor after impressing during a season-long loan at the Turkish club.
A Leeds source confirmed that Trabzonspor will trigger the option clause in Ekuban’s loan-to-buy deal and the player has already agreed personal terms.
Manager Marcelo Bielsa has given the green light for the Ghanaian international to make the switch and does not regard him as part of his plans going into next season.
Ekuban scored just twice in an injury-hit debut campaign at Leeds after signing from Italian Serie B side Chievo in the summer of 2017 but has thrived at Trabzonspor, where he has been a regular starter and scored eight goals and supplied three assists in his 33 appearances.
