Kumasi Asante Kotoko coach, CK Akonnor is not happy following his side’s 1-1 draw with Bechem United at the Baba Yara Stadium in the NC Special Competition Week ten game.
The Porcupine Warriors came from behind to equalize through Abdul Fatawu Safiu after Prince Adu Kwabena had given the visitors the lead.
Akonnor believes his side could have won the game though Bechem United netted against the run of play and has tasked his boys to always have a winning mentality.
“I’m not happy with the result. We could have won the match even though Bechem United took us by surprise in the early minute of the game,” Akonnor stated in the Post-match presser.
“I think they (Bechem United) were very compact in the early minute of the game. They pressed us very well. We struggled to come out of it. But we were able to create chances but today (yesterday) wasn’t good for us.”
” We had a bad game. Kotoko have come to a level that we’ve to win every match and the fact that we drew today its a set back. But we’ll continue to work hard to improve.” He added.
Kotoko are now second in Zone A with fifteen points after nine. games.
