Ghana Black Stars skipper Asamoah Gyan says he is looking forward to the 2019 AFCON.
The tournament which starts next month in Egypt will be Gyan’s last AFCON as he will hang his international boots afterwards.
Gyan is eager to lift the AFCON trophy for the first time after reaching the finals twice and he has earmarked the impending 2019 edition as the perfect chance.
“Not winning the AFCON is a major worry for us the players.” Gyan told Kessben FM.
“In our private conversation, we the players talk a lot about this AFCON.”
“I have tried a lot for my country but the biggest legacy I want to leave is winning the AFCON trophy for Ghana.”
Gyan is Ghana’s all time leading scorer with 51 goals in 106 games.
