The Referees Association of Ghana will no longer let their members officiate in the ongoing Normalisation Committee Special Tournament due to unpaid allowances.
The Knights of the Whistles say they will no longer be at helm of affairs in games until all arrears are settled.
In an official Press Communique dated Monday May 6, 2019, the Referees Association of Ghana pointed out that they are withdrawing all their men from officiating at all levels with effect from May 7, 2019.
The Referees Association of Ghana also mentioned that several letters and calls to the NC for them to settle match officials have all fallen into deaf ears.
Referees officiating the NC games are entitled to Ghc 850.00 officiating fees per game, but ten matches into the competition, they have not received a Pesewa from the Normalisation Committee.
The Government of Ghana is sponsoring the NC Special Competition with a reported $1.2 million, of which $500,000 was released for the first round of the novelty competition.
