After recording their first defeat in the Normalization Committee Special Competition, Assistant coach of WAFA Abubakar Saddick has praised Ebusua Dwarfs for putting up a good performance against his side.
The Academy Boys suffered their first defeat of the competition by conceding a loan goal to the reviving Dwarfs at the Cape Coast Stadium on Wednesday.
According to the youth team coach, his team lost concentration in the first fifteen minutes of the game which caused them to concede an early in the game.
Speaking to the media after the game, Saddick admitted his opponents were better despite ruing the early goal conceded.
“We lost, Dwarfs played. We defended but we couldn’t defend well.
“We couldn’t put pressure on the Dwarfs defenders, because they had time and space to kick the ball behind our defense.
“And they made good use of it and scored an early goal in the first half.
“We came back and tried to put a lot of pressure on them but they managed to hold us and defended well. I must say they played very well,” he noted.
“My right center back lost concentration in the first fifteen minutes, and our attacking third also lost concentration. I think that is the problem,” he added.
WAFA will host Ebusua Dwarfs in the reverse fixture on Sunday at Sogakope.
