Dreams FC will be hoping to maintain their unbeaten run against Liberty Professionals at the Carl Reindorf Park this Sunday when the two clubs lock horns in the Normalisation Cup game.
The last time the two sides played in a competitive game at the venue was three years ago when a solitary Eric Gawu strike condemned the scientific soccer lads to defeat.
During the last year’s GPL where Liberty Professionals played their home game against Dreams at Sogakope due to TV coverage, Zuberu Sharani netted the only goal for Dreams whilst barely a month ago, Gawu was on hand again to punish Liberty in a friendly game at Dansoman.
The game promises lots of fire works considering the good form of Liberty which has seen them wiped off the likes of Dwarfs and others with ease at Carl Reindorf.
Dreams FC have been playing some delightful football but their attack have been blunt throughout the competition and if Eric Gawu and others can find their scoring boot, the visitors can carry the day.
The real battle will be in midfield where Liberty duo of Simon Zibo and Elvis Kyei-Baffour will battle the likes of Khaled Mumin and others of Dreams FC for supremacy.
One player who could change the phase of the game for Dreams FC is playmaker Samuel Alabi. The midfielder has not played since match day one against Karela where he had a fractured shoulder and his likely return could decide the encounter.
In all, it looks an even game but Dreams FC have a rich history at Dansoman and they could win all three points if they eschew complacency
