Asante Kotoko captain Amos Frimpong has singled out teammate Abdul Fatawu Safiu for praise after his sensational start to the NC Special Competition.
Fatawu has been in red-hot for the Porcupine Warriors, scoring five goals in five appearances in the ongoing novelty league.
“Now he (Safiu) has been playing better than his previous days with the team and to have scored five goals in the special competition tells us that he is playing very well and he is a very good player.” Frimpong told the Daily Graphic in an interview.
“I hope he continue to work hard and score more goals to make our ambition of winning the competition a reality.
What we have to do now is to give him the needed attention and support to motivate him to do more,” he noted.
Kotoko currently occupies the first position in the Northern Zone of the Special Competition with 11 points followed closely by AshantiGold with 10 points.
