Former Ghana international Otto Addo has been appointed as “talent trainer”for German Bundesliga side Borussia Dortmund.
The German-born Ghanaian will head the newly established department of Dortmund as they seek to nurture more talents in their youth team.
“With two returnees, Borussia Dortmund strengthens the sporting competence in its own junior department: Michael Skibbe as coach of the U19 and head coach of all youth teams and Otto Addo in a newly created function as a talent trainer.” The club officially stated on their website.
Addo has a rich experience already in the coaching field having worked as assistant coach for Hamburg, FC Nordsjaelland and Borrussia Monchengladbach as well as chief scout for the Black Stars from 2013 to 2015.
He is expected to start his work at Dortmund on July 1, 2019.
