Hasaacas Ladies have once again chalked another feat as the first club to have won the maiden edition of the Normalisation Committee Special Competition after rallying from 2 goals down to whip Ampem Darkoa Ladies by 3-2.
Hasmal still remain the only club to win the Ghanaian topflight women’s league for three consecutive seasons.
Undoubtedly they are the most decorated female football club in Ghana.
Doooooo felicitations!
The Doooo Ladies started their campaign on a patchy note taking them 3 matches before they could get a point.
They lost on the road to Cape Coast Lady Strikers in the opener of the competition at the Aggrey Memorial Senior High School Park by 2-1 and were obliterated at home by Sea Lions when they walloped them 4-1.
Pocco a pocco as the competition wore on they gained their momentum and then to the Grande finale and now champions.
Obviously, the inclusion of Black Queens duo of Linda Eshun and Janet Agyiri was a tonic to the team.
They brought stability at the rear of the team.
However, one will be dishonest and disingenuous to overlook the invaluable contributions of the gaffer YUSIF BASIGI.
He is a master tactician. His technical acumen in reading the game is almost unmatched in the country.
In my estimation he is the most successful female football coach on the local front.
If anyone holds contrary view you can check his track records.
Yusif, is the brain behind the enormous success of Hasaacas Ladies over the years.
He is a teacher so he teaches the game. He motivates and inspires even when you are down.vA hallmark of a good coach.
The country is so blessed to have such a jewelry in the shape of Yusif Basigi.
He won the first gold medal for the Black Queens in 2015 at the All Africa Games in Congo.
He guided the Black Queen’s again to the semifinals of the 2016 AWCON in and win bronze medal against South Africa.
Basigi’s experience in women’s football makes him the automatic technical director of the women’s game.
It is against this backdrop that I will make a passionate appeal to the Sports Ministry and the Normalisation Committee to, as a matter of agency, CONFIRM the aforementioned name as the head coach of the national U -20 female soccer team, the BLACK PRINCESSES.
He deserves it better than any other coach in this country currently. The cup fits him better than any other person.
Congratulations once more. Dooooooooooooo!!!
