Barely twenty four hours after the confirmation of his departure from Asante Kotoko, Frederick Boateng has revealed his shock over the club’s decision to take back his kits from him.
According to the player, he holds no qualms with anyone at the club but finds it extremely difficult to comprehend why a club like Kotoko will be asking him to return the kits.
“I’ve no qualms with anybody at Asante Kotoko and I can’t speak evil of anyone.
“I only find it hard to understand why they are demanding some of the kits they gave me but policies differ from one club to another so I can’t have issues with it,” he said.
The shock of the player emanates from the fact that a huge club like Asante Kotoko will be running after used kits of their former players, when in actual fact, the players should have been allowed to keep the kits.
Boateng and Abass Mohammed were released by the Porcupine Warriors on Thursday after the duo failed to break into CK Akonnor’s side.
