After beating Dwarfs by 2-0, head coach of Accra Hearts of Oak Kim Grant has called on Hearts of Oak fans to have patient with his team building, saying he appreciates their frustrations.
According to the coach, he is looking at the long term project of the team and not short term.
Grant also admitted understanding the frustration of the supporters after going over a decade without winning any silverware.
“I’m not looking at short term, I’m looking at the long term,” he said.
“I brought in young player’s and when the new registration open I will look at strengthening my team.
“It’s a long term process. I understand it’s a big club and want to be successful always.
“But they have to change their mind set, I’m trying to build this team to be able to build structures. I understand their frustration.”
“This club hasn’t won something for fourteen years, now we are trying to resolve that situation by building a new team, so they have to be patient. Rome wasn’t build in a day,” he added.
“I have already been here for three months, I have recruited young players. They are now working hard to get the experience.
“They have to patient I have a talented squad. And they will get better and they will improve. Is about how fans understand how the team is built.”
